FDR A collective of senior Developer Relations practitioners
I want to:

Fractional DevRel, but with peers.

FDR is a member-led collective of senior DevRel practitioners, advocates, content leads, educators, community ops, technical writers, available to dev-facing companies on a fractional basis. No agency middleman. No commission on your work. A network where peers magnify each other's work, and a directory clients can search to find you.

Founding members join free while we form. Limited spots.
FDR Senior Developer Relations, on a fractional basis
I want to:

Hire senior DevRel, not a full-time seat.

The FDR directory is launching soon, a searchable roster of senior DevRel practitioners you can hire fractionally and directly, with no agency markup and no commission. Tell us what you need and we'll notify you the moment it's live.

We'll email you when the directory launches. No agency in the middle, ever.
01 The thesis

Not every company needs a full-time head of DevRel.

Real, common situations:

An early-stage dev tool needs a launch.
An API company needs a docs overhaul and a YouTube series.
A Series B platform needs three months of conference presence.
A staffed team needs course delivery while they backfill a leave.

These aren't full-time problems. They're real ones, and they deserve experienced operators, not interns, not founder weekends, not overflow capacity from engineering.

Fractional DevRel works. The talent exists. What's been missing is the practice.

02 What we're building

The home for fractional DevRel.

01 / Directory

Where clients find you.

A vetted directory, searchable by specialty, stack, language, region, and availability. Clients find the practitioner they need fast, and inbound goes directly to you, never through us.

02 / Network

A network that magnifies.

Expand your existing DevRel network. Trade leads, refer overflow, co-deliver, and amplify each other's work, plus the context that's hard to get when you're solo.

03 / Mentorship

A way in for new talent.

Newer practitioners learn best practices and find mentors among senior members, so the bar keeps rising for everyone.

04 / Brand

A shared signal.

"FDR member" as a mark of quality. Clients increasingly know what fractional CFO and fractional CMO mean. We do the same for DevRel.

03 Founding members · 2026

Join now,
and you help define it.

Founding members set the standard for everything that comes after. A small group, real say, real perks.

01

Permanent founding-member status.

Marked on your directory profile in perpetuity. Signals seniority to every client who lands on FDR after you.

02

A seat at the table.

Governance, member fees, code of conduct, vetting criteria, founders decide together. This is your collective.

03

First crack at inbound.

Client RFPs come through FDR. Founders see them first, matched by specialty.

04

The directory stays free.

Listing in the directory is free for everyone, for good. Any rates or fees for special services or tools get worked out by founding members. Always non-commission.

04 The fit

This is for you if ,

05 Reasonable questions

Things people ask first.

Are you an agency? Do you take a cut?
FDR is member-led. Clients pay you directly, on your terms. Joining the platform is free for founding members.
How do clients actually find me?
Three ways: the public directory and search, the FDR brand and content we build together, and inbound RFPs we triage and route to relevant members. All channels grow as the collective and its reputation grow.
What if I'm full-time but moonlight?
If it's ok for your employer, it's ok with us too. Get on the list and we'll keep you posted.
What does "vetted" mean here?
A founding working group defines the bar together. Likely some combination of public work, references, and a portfolio review. The goal isn't gatekeeping, it's that "FDR member" should mean something to a CTO looking at three names.

01 Why fractional

Not every company needs a full-time head of DevRel.

Real, common situations:

A Series B platform needs three months of conference presence.
A staffed team needs course delivery while they backfill a leave.

These aren't full-time problems. They're real ones, and they deserve experienced operators, not interns, not founder weekends, not overflow capacity from engineering.

That's what FDR is for. Senior practitioners, matched to the work, for as long as the work lasts.

02 What you get

A directory, not an agency.

01 / Search

Search by what you need.

When the directory launches, browse practitioners by specialty, advocacy, docs, video, education, community, partner integrations, or conference programming, and reach out to whoever fits.

02 / Senior

Senior, vetted operators.

Every member is an experienced DevRel practitioner with a track record you'd recognise. No interns, no overflow capacity, no learning on your dime.

03 / Direct

Direct, with no markup.

You engage the practitioner directly, on your terms. FDR takes no commission and inserts no agency layer between you and the work.

04 / Now

Or reach the collective now.

Can't wait for launch? Opt in and we share your details with every practitioner already signed up, so any interested DevRel can email you directly. No matching, no middleman.

03 Reasonable questions

Things companies ask first.

How does pricing work?
You contract the practitioner directly, on rates you agree together. FDR takes no commission and adds no agency markup.
What kinds of work can you cover?
Developer advocacy, technical content, video and streaming, education and courses, community ops, docs, partner integrations, launches, and conference programming.
Is the directory live yet?
Not yet, we're launching soon. Leave your details and we'll email you the moment the searchable directory is available.
What does "find a DevRel now" do?
If you check that box, we share your inquiry, including your contact details, with every practitioner currently signed up to FDR. Any interested DevRel can then email you directly. There's no curation, matching, or filtering on our side, and no agency in the middle, it's a direct intro ahead of launch. Leave it unchecked and we simply notify you when the directory goes live.
